Greetings, Comrades! In this episode, I look at the official handbook, published by Russian ministry of defence, that’s intended for the soldiers fighting in the “special military operation” in Ukraine. The interesting parts anyways. Also, sorry about the slight weirdness, I had some health issues while recording, but I hope it’ll be ok.

What you’re describing (being able to input coordinates into a screen, and have the artillery target these coordinates within seconds/minutes, shows you where the enemy is and where friendlies are – to prevent friendly fire, etc.) are called Command&Control systems.
I don’t know what the Ukrainian army uses (I hope they have such a system too), but I think it’s quite common in western armies.

You should comment less and read the book. That’s why I came here. You don’t have anything helpful to add besides your very basic reactionary observations which I can do on my own. You do bring something to the table. You read Russian and can translate. Stick to that.
