You, Anne Applebaum, Kasparov, Svetlana Alexievich, and Sirhii Plokhy have revolutionized (no pun intended) the way in which I consider current Russian and Eastern European events through the past, which is what history is all about, going forward while being mindful of what has come before.
Incidentally, I don’t know if you have seen or read the book “From Chernobyl with Love: Reporting from the Ruins of the Soviet Union” by Katya Cengel. Its right up your alley, quite literally. Writing and reporting from Latvia and Ukraine.
