Red Dawn 8 – Intermarium

Greetings, Comrades!

Today’s episode had a very troubled production. Basically, we had to re-do the script completely, when in the fact-checking segment of the production, we were forced to throw out huge chunks of the material, because it just couldn’t be verified and turned out to be published in some very shady news sites. And it’s no wonder, really, seeing how history is used these days to advance political agendas. For that, we also advance the timeline in Russia a bit, and you get to listen about the gruesome murders of the Romanovs. And the reasons why all of us, in the Baltics, were actually able to beat Bolsheviks in 1918 – 1920. Because “war communism” encapsulates many meanings. Enjoy. If you can.

  1. After I visited Poland and Lithuania (Polish relatives on mom’s side and Lithuanian ancestry from dad), I left was wondering why Poland has such awkward relations with Lithuania and Ukraine. I think my relative may have been reluctant to talk about that part of Poland’s history (but his English is also not so great). He had many great stories though, including one of being taken to Russia to be part of the celebration of Lenin’s 100th birthday. Current Polish politics is worrisome and follows the pattern we’re seeing of more authoritarian leaders and increasing populism. Many Poles are understandably wary of taking in refugees, but PiS take it to extremes infusing it with the defense of Western civilization and Christendom. I suppose in Russia they are told to fear the gay fascists but in Poland it is the gay commies who want to destroy Western civilization. This is what the PiS puppet master Jaroslaw Kaczynski has used to discredit Walesa with accusations of collaboration with communist police and allowing corrupt officials to take advantage of the transition to capitalism. Some of my relatives believe Jaroslaw to be insane and on some kind of crusade after the death of his brother Lech (of which there are of course theories that Russia assassinated him). If there is any truth, it is that Europe is insane! Trying to find any another truths today is like trying to swim through mud. I’ve just finished listening through all your episodes, thank you for all you do!
