The helicopter crash did happen and they found the tail rotor in 2017.

Aside from that, I appreciated the presentation of *why* they (Craig Mazin and directed by Johan Renck) presented it the way they did. The Chernobyl podcast was a huge asset to the series and your podcast in an asset to insight. Thank you and I hope you continue to do well.
